What a couple of days!!! On Monday we (Brook and Joe, Ashley and Bryan, and I) got up and headed out to the Hatcher’s Pass area. We pared at the Reed’s Lakes parking area and took the valley up towards the Snowbird Glacier. The weather was shaky and, sure enough, within an hour or so we were getting rained on and then sleeted on and then SNOWED on! By the time we got to the pass to the Snowbird Glacier it was blowing so hard that we couldn’t see any further than about 10 feet. We sat down behind some rocks and waited it out. The snow didn’t stop, but the wind did. We found our way down the glacier and up to the Snowbird Hut. Within a couple of minutes of getting to the share we were blessed with a clearing of the snow and we were standing before the view you see above. (**Joe and I shared a camera and swapped back and forth the whole time – that’s why you see me in some of the photos**)

Unfortunately, the next day we woke up to snow and being “socked in.” Socked in means not being able to see anything. :( boo! Eventually the snow turned to rain and Bryan and I were able to take a small hike down to the lake and back. It stayed cloudy and rainy till around 10pm when things started to break and the sun started to poke its head out again.

The next morning I woke up at 6 to see this view outside my window :) What a nice surprise! The entire day was a dream with the weather and we were blessed with one amazing view after another.
