“Noises Off” – Flat Rock Playhouse

Starting on August 23rd at the Flat Rock Playhouse (about 25 min south of Asheville) is “Noises Off.”

Here’s what the Playhouse has to say about it, “Earning its name from the theatrical stage direction referring to sounds made offstage, Noises Off has been called “the funniest farce ever written.” In this show within a show, a cast of itinerant actors rehearses a flop called Nothing’s On. Based on the premise that the best way to witness a farce is from behind the scenes, this hilarious play turns set design on its head. get ready for a unique perspective, complete with slamming doors, backstage intrigue and an errant herring in this comedic delight.”
