Cassy and Mike made the trip up from South Carolina on Saturday to tie the knot at the Grove Park Inn. They had a very small group, which made it very intimate. All of the people there were either family or very close friends. With so few people there was lots of good conversation and time to spend with everyone. Colby and I got about 40 minutes with the couple to walk around the Grove Park grounds and get lots of different backgrounds and lighting.  Both of them were super nice and great to work with. It’s always such a pleasure shooting with people that don’t mind indulging all of our silly ideas :)

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a musical that wasn’t already super famous and had every song in it burned into my brain as a young child. This one was that. The Spitfire Grill was great! The music was beautiful, the singing was fantastic and the story was touching. I’m not sure that I’ve seen so many people in the audience crying at the end of a musical before – and it’s not even sad, just heartwarming! I know that I praise the Flat Rock Playhouse quite a bit, but it’s really good! The show opens on May 30, 2012 and runs for 4 weeks. If you are, at all, a fan of musicals, this is a must.

Sky Valley Country Club – Highlands, NC – Kyle & Mike

On Saturday Colby and I (Nick) were out in Sky Valley (by Highlands, NC) for Kyle and Mike’s wedding. We started at Kyle’s house with the girls and got tons of great getting ready shots. Shortly before the ceremony we jumped over and got some getting ready of the guys. The ceremony was held just outside the pavilion in Sky Valley Country Club. They had tons of friends and family make the trip up from Atlanta and had a great party. They had an awesome DJ come up from Atlanta that I’d highly recommend. His company’s name is B2 (B squared).
