Asheville Engagement Photos – Becca and Steven

Becca and Steven were in Asheville for the weekend for some pre-wedding stuff and met up with me for an engagement shoot. Both of them – especially Steven – love craft brewed beer and Asheville is known for its breweries. We decided to head down to the Southern Appalachian Brewery to get some photos. Their wedding is next June in the Outer Banks (long ways from Asheville!) on a pier hanging over the ocean. I can’t wait. It’s going to be awesome!

Claxton Farms Wedding Photos – Sarah & Jeff

One of the most beautiful spots to get married in the Asheville area is the Claxton Farms. The spot is surrounded on all sides by mountains and is only about 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville. Sarah and Jeff chose the fantastic 11-11-11 to get married and had it early in the morning. The weather in Asheville was gorgeous and at 9am the light couldn’t have been better. It was for days like this that I moved to Asheville years ago.

The Preserve Wedding Photography – Lauren and Brandon

After a beautiful drive through the mountains from Asheville I arrived to find even more fall color up at The Preserve in Townsend, TN.  Surrounded by mountains and a palette of autumn hues, Lauren and Brandon had the perfect backdrop for their big day!  The intimate and emotional ceremony was held in a sweet little pavilion with gorgeous 180 degree views warmly lit in the background.  After the newlyweds were congratulated by teary-eyed family and friends, we ventured out to take more photos in the fading daylight.  As the mountains changed from warm golden tones to cool blues and purples, we finished the formals just as the moon came out.  With a welcomed break in a pre-heated car (it’s gets downright chilly in the mountains when the sun goes down!) we headed to the reception for cake, dancing, and very appropriate take-home presents for the guests – miniature Louisville slugger baseball bats tied to a big chunk of delicious chocolate!  For anyone following the World Series you might recognize the groom.  :) -Kelly
