Today was another beautiful day. Colby and I decided to jump in the car and head south and see what we could find. We went through Saluda and Tryon and somewhere down there we found an abandoned Motel that time had taken its tole on. Another great day in Western NC :)

When it comes to picking a special place to elope in the mountains of NC, it’s kind of hard to beat Castle Ladyhawke. As Nick has said in previous posts, It’s A Castle! The castle was perfect for Edith and Jason’s small ceremony, with just their two kids in tow. Edith and Jason are a fun and energetic couple who welcomed me (Colby) in for their intimate ceremony with open arms. We had a lot of fun exploring all facets of the castle and Edith was definitely a champ about handling the chilly weather in her dress! Best of luck to this wonderful couple! -Colby

It was such a gorgeous day today, and Maddy and Finn are still in Germany, so I grabbed a camera (Zeiss Ikon, 35 2.0 & 50 1.5), my dog and jumped in the Rover and set out through the countryside for the day. We found lots of cool stuff, got tons of fresh air and had a lovely day.
